Three women, ranging in age from 20 to 23, were robbed at gunpoint in incidents on Willow and Lowerline streets in New Orleans early Sunday morning.
The first robbery occurred just before 3 a.m. Two women, 20 and 23, were approached in the 7700 block of Willow Street by a man with a silver hangun, according to New Orleans police. The robber demanded their property. One of the women refused and was struck in the face with the gun. The robber fled with an iPhone.
The second incident occured less than a mile away and about 20 minutes later in the 2300 block of Lowerline. A woman, 21, was approached by a man who snatched her purse and fled.
NOPD couldn't confirm if the two incidents are related or if the same man robbed all three women.
