Heavy rain Tuesday has caused flash flooding in several areas of St. Charles Parish, officials said.
Residents are advised to drive cautiously and avoid idling in the standing water that has covered some roadways.
In St. Rose, high water has been reported along on Dianne Drive, Janet Drive, Riverbend Drive and Lily Street.
In Luling, water has gathered on Ivy Lane, Barton Avenue near River Road, Lakewood Drive at West Heather Drive, Monsanto Avenue and Luling Estates Drive.
The National Weather Service had issued a flash flood warning for metro New Orleans until 12:15 p.m. and for the North Shore until 2:15 p.m.
St. Charles Public Works teams are monitoring pump stations and may place barricades at some roads as they deem necessary.
Residents are asked to report high water in streets to the Emergency Operations Center at 985-783-5050.
