TRIDENTINE MASS: The Roman Rite Mass, also known as the “Tridentine” (Latin) Mass, will be offered at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Stephen Church (Good Shepherd Parish), 1025 Napoleon Ave. The celebrant will be the Rev. Garrett O’Brien.

The Good Shepherd Choir will be heard in the Missa Cantata, under the direction of Brian Morgan, director of music and principal organist, in the Gregorian “Missa de Angelis.” Phyllis Treigle will be soprano soloist, with Bart Folse as chanter.

NEWLY ORDAINED ASSIGNED: Archbishop Gregory Aymond recently ordained four priests at St. Louis Cathedral. Ian Bozant, Charles Dussouy, Timothy Hedrick and Matthew Johnston are the newest priests of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

The men in this year’s class of priests all grew up in the New Orleans area and all attended Catholic elementary school and high school. The NOLA priest class’s average age is younger than the national median age of 32.

Bozant, 25, was born in Chalmette. His home parish is Our Lady of Lourdes, Slidell. He is the son of Bruce and Dorine Bozant and attended Our Lady of Prompt Succor Elementary School; Holy Cross High School (2005); Notre Dame High School, Sherman Oaks, California (2005); Villanova University (2008); entered St. Joseph’s Seminary College (2008); and Notre Dame Seminary (2010). He is assigned as the parochial vicar at Mary, Queen of Peace, Mandeville.

Dussouy, 30, was born in New Orleans. His home parish is Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Kenner. He is the son of Roy and Yvette Dussouy and attended St. Christopher; Archbishop Rummel High School (2002); University of New Orleans (2002-04); Franciscan University of Steubenville (2004-05); University of New Orleans (2006-07); Our Lady of Holy Cross College (2007-10); and entered Notre Dame Seminary (2010). He is the new parochial vicar at St. Edward the Confessor Parish, Metairie.

Hedrick, 32, was born in Metairie. His home parish is St. Philip Neri. He is the son of Larry and Barbara Hedrick and attended St. Clement of Rome; Christian Brothers School (1995); Archbishop Rummel High School (2000); LSU, B.S. in information systems and decision sciences (2004); St. Joseph Seminary College, B.A. in philosophy and theological studies (2010); and entered Notre Dame Seminary (2010). He is assigned as the parochial vicar at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Metairie.

Johnston, 29, was born in Bakersfield, Calif. His home parish is Our Lady of the Lake, Mandeville. He is the son of Dwight and Mary Johnston and attended Our Lady of the Lake Elementary School; St. Paul’s High School (2003); Texas A&M University (2004); Louisiana Tech University (2006); St. Joseph Seminary College (2010); and Notre Dame Seminary. His first assignment is parochial vicar at St. Clement of Rome, Metairie.
