The Sewerage & Water Board has announced several construction projects that will cause low water pressure in various parts of New Orleans in coming days.

There will be low pressure along Coliseum Street between Louisiana Avenue and Amelia Street from 5 p.m. to midnight Thursday as workers tie in an 8-inch water line to an existing line that serves the area.

There will be low pressure in the 1100 block of Florida Avenue between Wilshire Place and Tunica Street from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday while a water valve is repaired.

Residents and businesses along South Tonti Street between Erato Street and Earhart Boulevard will experience low water pressure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday as workers tie in a new water line.

There will be low pressure along Toulouse Street between North Carrollton Avenue and North Cortez Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday as workers repair a water main.

In addition, parts of North Galvez Street will have intermittent traffic lane closures next week, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, as contractors repair several manholes. T

he work areas are 3000 to 3100 North Galvez, from Clouet Street to Piety Street, and 3700 to 4000 North Galvez, from Independence Street to Bartholomew Street.
