The New Orleans Police Department on Tuesday released the full surveillance video from the Sept. 24 evening armed robbery at the Uptown restaurant Atchafalaya.
Two masked men burst into the restaurant with handguns, taking cash from diners and staff and the bar's cash register.
In a scene seemingly carbon-copied from the August armed robbery at the restaurant Patois more than 2 miles farther Uptown, police said two men approached the eatery at 901 Louisiana Ave. about 9:45 p.m., wearing hoodies.
On Monday, three armed men robbed patrons and the register at the Monkey Hill bar on Magazine Street around 10:15 p.m., police said. Police said they are not ready to definitively connect that hold-up to the similar ones at Patois and Atchafalaya restaurants.
