The Sewerage & Water Board has announced construction will cause low water pressure in parts of New Orleans this week.

Residents and businesses in a portion of the Lower 9th Ward will experience low pressure from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday as workers tie in a new water line.

The affected streets will be: North Galvez Street between Charbonnet and Andry streets; Flood Street between North Galvez and North Derbigny streets; and Caffin Avenue between North Galvez and North Derbigny.

Customers on Cadiz Street from Loyola Avenue to South Robertson Street will experience low water pressure from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday as workers tie in a water line in the area.

Customers on Alabo Street from North Derbigny to North Dorgenois streets will experience low pressure from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday as crews tie in a new water line.

Residents and businesses along St. Charles Avenue from Philip to First streets will experience low water pressure from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday as workers install a fire service in the area.
