A man who was wanted for first-degree rape and the molestation of a juvenile was arrested Sunday morning, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Col. John Fortunato, a spokesman for the office, said 34-year-old Trevor Clifton was picked up a friend’s house on the 400 block of MacArthur Boulevard in Harvey.
Personal Violence Detective Kay Horne authored arrest warrants for Clifton on Oct. 2 after a 14 year-old female said she was raped on multiple occasions over the course of a year, Fortunato said.
Clifton’s address is in East Claiborne Parkway in Bridge City, where the sheriff's office said the crimes occurred. He evaded law officers for two days after threatening to commit suicide and fleeing his house on Friday, Fortunato said.
