The American Harp Society conference will bring more than 50 events to New Orleans June 22-26, beginning with a free public concert featuring Baltazar Juarez of the Mexico Symphony at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at St. Louis Cathedral.
A concert of flute and harp will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, June 23, in the Astor Ballroom of Astor Crowne Plaza New Orleans, 739 Canal St. Admission will be $15 at the door.

The American Harp Society Harp Carnival Jazz Fest will take place from 6 p.m. to midnight Tuesday, June 24, at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel, with 8,000 square feet of harps and harp regalia on display in the exhibit hall. Admission will be $25.
The Mardi Gras Ball Orchestra Gala will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, featuring five symphonic works that feature the harp from Bach through rock. Afterward, there will be a jazz reception with the Allvin-Collins Jazz Harp Quartet, from Detroit, Michigan. Admission will be $25. For information, visit www.ahsconference.org.
