Eight people in a group attacked and robbed three men on Wednesday night in New Orleans.

Shortly after 10 p.m., New Orleans police report that a 21-year-old man was walking in the 1000 block of Governor Nicholls Street when a group of eight people approached him. One of the group members pulled out a gun and robbed the victim of his cell phone.

Once the victim gave up his phone, NOPD he said the gunman told others in the group to "go get them," referring to two other men walking down the street.

Those two men, 21 and 43, were then approached by three men from the group of eight. One of the three stabbed the 43-year-old in the chest, and all the suspects fled the scene without saying anything.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

NOPD is still investigating the incident.
