Sunny skies and 70 degree weather paired with Christmas wreaths and lights can’t stop New Orleans residents from traditional Christmas fun.

For the first time, this year those attending the annual NOLA ChristmasFest can ditch their shorts for ice skates inside the Convention Center.

The new indoor ice rink is for the NOLA Christmas Fest and at 50-feet wide and 80-feet long it's half the size of an Olympic rink, according to the NOLA ChristmasFest website.

Running from December 18 to December 28 the NOLA Christmas Fest includes carnival rides, crafts for kids and festive light displays.
