Isaac Toups, the chef and owner of New Orleans restaurant Toups' Meatery on North Carrollton Avenue, is one of the chefs from across the country chosen to compete in Bravo's "Top Chef."

The first episode of the 13th season is scheduled to air with a two-night premiere starting Dec. 2. Up for grabs this season is the chance to be named "Top Chef" along with $125,000 funished by San Pellegrino as well as a showcase at the annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen .

New Orleans chef Emeril Lagasse is one of the four judges for the competition.
