Community groups collaborated to treat families with children at Angels’ Place to a Spring Fling March 19 at St. Martin’s Episcopal School in Metairie.

Angels’ Place provides supportive services and assistance to seriously and terminally ill children and their families, offering respite for the caregivers of children referred by Children’s Hospital and Ochsner Hospital.

The Spring Fling provided an opportunity for the children and their parents to get together and have fun. Activities included arts and crafts, face painting and two space walks. Games included a three-legged race, musical chairs and a sack race. The food and drinks were donated by four Kiwanis clubs: Third District, New Orleans, Dawnbusters and Moisant. The Kenner Central Lions Club organized an Easter egg hunt.
