UnitedHealthcare has donated 47 refurbished laptop computers to four faith- and community-based organizations in the greater New Orleans area: Friends of Joe W. Brown Memorial Park, YOUTHanasia Foundation Inc., True Vine Baptist Church and Better Tomorrows.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Louisiana is donating nearly 400 computers to 17 community- and faith-based organizations in New Orleans, Shreveport, Baton Rouge and Lafayette.

The donation is part of UnitedHealthcare’s efforts to increase computer and Internet access for people in underserved communities.

The donated computers help people access health information, assistance programs and other online resources. UnitedHealthcare has donated more than 2,000 computers in 13 states since the program began in 2012.
