Metropolitan Republican Women Win Awards at the LFRW Biennial Convention _lowres

Six delegates and one alternate from the Metropolitan Republican Women’s Club attended the Louisiana Federation of Republican Women’s Biennial Convention held this spring in Alexandria.

The Metro Club won six awards, including first place for literacy, programs, fundraiser and fundraising most money; and second place for scrapbook and newsletter. Also, Metro Treasurer Constance Albert received the Betty Heitman Leadership Award.

Speakers at the lunches and dinners were Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne, state Rep. Lance Harris and U.S. Sens. David Vitter and Bill Cassidy.
