Two Jefferson Parish residents were rescued from the waters off Miramar Beach in Florida, while two other distressed swimmers drowned, according to a report.

Mark Soule, 35, of Kenner, and Harley Smith, 40, of Metairie, were rescued Tuesday, The Northwest Florida Daily News reported. The Walton County Sheriff’s Office received a call about four distressed swimmers near Whale’s Tail about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, spokeswoman Corey Dobridnia told the newspaper.

One of the swimmers, Rasheed Yohance Moses, 36, of Longview, Texas, was pulled from the water and pronounced dead, according to the report. The fourth swimmer, Leonard Edward Adams, 35, of Austin, Texas, was still missing Wednesday afternoon and is presumed dead.
