“Riding Halley’s Comet” by Ann McQueen will be presented Friday, July 10, through Sunday, July 19, at the Mid-City Theatre, 3540 Toulouse St., New Orleans, in recognition of National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month.

The play is based on the experience of living with a parent with mental illness and is produced by the Lioness 23 Theatre Initiative in partnership with NAMI New Orleans. The director is Troy R. Poplous, and the cast includes Carol Sutton, Idella Johnson, Troi Bechet, Yohance Myles, Cherrelle Palmer, Robert Doqui, D.C. Paul, Keshuna Jones Lee and Martin Bats Bradford.
