A Jefferson Parish grand jury has indicted three men in connection with the shooting death of two men in Terrytown in June.
Michael Brown, 22, Kwame Fleming, 25, and Hasaan Johnson, 23, were indicted on murder, manslaughter and weapons charges in a case slotted to 24th Judicial District Judge Michael Mentz’s court.
The men are accused of shooting Jerrell “Tiny Man” McGown and Jacquez Young on Whitney Avenue on June 1.
Brown, of New Orleans, and Fleming, of Marrero, were indicted on two counts of second-degree murder in the shooting of Young and McGown, while Johnson, of New Orleans, was indicted for manslaughter for being a principal to the killing of Young.
Fleming and Brown were indicted on a count each of obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice for allegedly trying to dispose of the murder weapons, while Fleming was indicted on two counts of being a felon with a weapon.
All three were charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree murder for the killing of both men.
Brown and Johnson are being held in the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, while Fleming is being held in Orleans Parish Prison.
