The Wednesdays on the Point concert series is up and running through July 6, so grab your folding chairs and head out to catch a breeze off the Mississippi, hear some great music and sample food from more than a dozen vendors. Sponsored by the Algiers Economic Development Foundation, the evenings of free music are held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Algiers Ferry Landing, 200 Morgan St. Taking the stage Wednesday are the Honey Island Swamp Band and Colin Lake. Coming up June 22 are King James and the Special Men and Little Freddie King; June 29, Bag of Donuts; and July 6, Motel Radio and Amanda Shaw.
