A triple shooting in New Orleans East late Sunday night killed one man and injured two others.

According to New Orleans police, the incident occurred in the 4600 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard just before midnight.

The man who died, along with a 32-year old woman and a 44-year-old man, were sitting in a late-model silver Saturn sedan in a strip mall parking lot when another car drove up and started shooting.

NOPD said the victims ran out the vehicle and collapsed on Chef Menteur Highway. The deceased victim had multiple gunshot wounds when officers arrived. The other man was taken to an area hospital with gunshot wounds to his back and arm; his condition is unknown. The woman injured suffered a non-life threatening graze wound to her face.
