The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana is recruiting volunteers to participate in a restoration planting project May 28-31 at Big Branch National Wildlife Refuge.

Volunteers will plant 45,000 plugs of marsh grass, which will help stabilize 25 acres of fragile marsh ecosystem.

Volunteers are welcome to register for one or multiple days. Volunteers will be transported to the site by airboat, and all necessary food and supplies will be provided by CRCL.

Work will begin at 9 a.m. each day and end no later than 4 p.m. Volunteers will gather at the Lake Road boat launch. For more information, visit www.CRCL.org. All volunteers must be registered before the event.
