Update, 11:30 a.m. Dec. 6: An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in the stabbing death of a man in St. Roch Saturday, police said.

The New Orleans Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for 50-year-old William Bonham for second-degree murder, NOPD said in a news release.

Around noon Saturday, NOPD responded to a call of a man stabbed inside a home in the 2400 block of North Tonti Street. When officers arrived, they found an adult man fatally stabbed inside the occupied house.

Police identified Bonham as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of family members. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

Neighbors on the street said a man was stabbed to death on Saturday, and the corner's van was seen pulling away from the house.
