The New Orleans Police Department reported several shootings Wednesday across the city.

Around 4:30 p.m., a 20-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the arm in the 2000 block of Fourth Street in Central City, according to a New Orleans Police Department preliminary offense log. The man was walking in the area when he heard shots fired and realized that he had been shot, police said. He was taken to the hospital by EMS and is in stable condition.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., a 31-year-old man suffered a gunshot would to the foot in the 3600 block of Gen. de Gaulle Drive in Algiers. The man was standing by his vehicle when he was approached by two male suspects, police said. The man thought the suspects wanted to buy a CD. Both suspects produced weapons, and a struggle ensued. Fleeing the location, the suspects shot at the man, police said, who was taken to the hospital by EMS. Police did not provide an update on his condition.

About 9:15 p.m., a 35-year-old man arrived at a local hospital by private conveyance with gunshot wounds to the buttocks and arm. The shooting occurred in the 4600 block of Francisco Verrett Drive in New Orleans East. The man was sitting outside talking on his cellphone when a suspect approached him and began shooting, police said.

Shortly before 11 p.m., two male victims, ages 33 and 22, were shot in the 3500 block of Bacchus Drive in Algiers and went to a Jefferson Parish hospital with wounds. Police were not able to get any information from the victims, and their conditions were not known.
