The St. Bernard Career Solutions Center, St. Bernard Parish School Board, St. Bernard Parish Government, Nunez Community College and Chalmette Refining recently concluded their 20th year of providing job opportunities for teenagers for the summer. There were 19 students, ranging in age from 16 to 19, who worked throughout the summer for St. Bernard Parish Government, the St. Bernard Parish School Board, the Council on Aging, Nunez Community College, the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce and the St. Bernard Parish District Attorney’s Office. The program was sponsored by a grant of more than $25,000 from the ExxonMobil Foundation. Participants in this summer’s program were Matthew Agosto, Alexis Banks, Kelsi Bordelon, Blake Coker, Timyca Cotton, Mariella Di Cristina, Richaad Grayol, Lamonica Heyward, RaJanae Major, Dominique March, Sharon Melerine, Gaybrielle Mitchell, Emily Neyland, Michael O’Neill, Robert N. Stedman, Tre’Vondria Theodore, Julia C. Thornton, Kathryne Wenck and Diamond Williams.
