After a bizarre incident Friday night at New Orleans' Louis Armstrong International airport, violence continued into the early morning hours Saturday.
Around 5:30 a.m., the New Orleans Police Department reported a double shooting in the French Quarter in the 700 block of Conti Street. Two men were shot; one, 25, was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to NOPD. The incident began when the two men got into a "disturbance"
Earlier in th morning around 2:45 a.m., NOPD reported a double shooting in New Orleans East in the 7100 block of Downman Road. The incident involved a man and a woman. Both were leaving an area club went shots rang out. Both were hit, and NOPD reports their injuries are aren't life-threatening.
All airport operations are up and running as normal Saturday morning, said airport spokeswoman Michelle Wilcut.
