The Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans has scheduled four weeks of “Tall Tales” summer arts camp for children ages 6 to 14, on the weeks of July 7, 14, 21 and 28.
Camp hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with after-care available. Registration is $175 per week for CAC members and $225 for others.
Each week of camp will explore a book reflecting a different literary genre. The books are: “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak, adventure, week of July 7; “Who’s That Tripping Over My Bridge?” by Coleen Salley, history, July 14; “Anansi and the Moss-Covered Rock,” retold by Eric Kimmel, folktale, July 21; and “Abiyoyo,” retold by Pete Seeger, drama, July 28.
