A 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times and died Sunday night in the 1400 block of Bartholomew Street in the St. Claude neighborhood, New Orleans police said.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m., said Officer Frank Robertson, an NOPD spokesman.
In a separate incident in the St. Roch neighborhood, a 17-year-old male was shot multiple times in the 1800 block of St. Roch Avenue around 6:45 p.m., Robertson said.
That victim was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
N.O. man arrested in Arabi armed robbery
The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office said it arrested a New Orleans man Saturday for robbing a payday loan business in Arabi.
Rodrick Natteel, 36, was booked with armed robbery and is being held in St. Bernard Parish Prison, according to a statement Saturday night from the Sheriff’s Office.
Natteel was on parole at the time of the May 31 incident; he previously served 12 years in prison on a charge of being an accessory to murder, authorities said.
The Sheriff’s Office said more arrests are expected.
The incident happened about 10:50 a.m. when three armed men entered the business in the 7500 block of West Judge Perez Drive. The men robbed the business and customers, according to the statement. No one was injured.
A fourth man, identified as the getaway driver, also is wanted in the robbery.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the getaway vehicle, a dark-colored Chevrolet TrailBlazer, was recovered.
Police seek car used in theft, purse snatching
New Orleans police are searching for a car they believe was used in a purse snatching and bicycle theft Saturday.
According to a statement from the Police Department, detectives are looking for a blue four-door sedan that tailed a woman as she was riding her bike at Dauphine and Spain streets around 10:30 p.m.
The woman said the car pulled in front of her and several people got out. She said a black female, wearing a pink shirt, age 15 to 17, pushed her to the ground and a black man of the same age, wearing a red shirt, told her to give him her backpack.
The victim said that after she screamed and several neighbors came outside, the thieves got back in the car and fled against traffic on Burgundy Street.

Man robbed at gunpoint in Metairie
A man was robbed at gunpoint Sunday in Metairie, according to records from Jefferson Parish 911 headquarters.
The incident happened about 1 p.m. at Airline Drive and North Laurel Street. The man was not injured.
