Monday’s storms caused only minor damage to signs and a hospitality tent at the New Orleans Fairgrounds, and the festival will open for its second weekend Thursday at 11 a.m. as scheduled.

Jazz Fest organizers say that other than a few signs and a single tent that needed minor repairs, the squall that blew through town did no damage.

While there are still portions of the fairgrounds that are wet, the dirt track is drying up and a few days without foot traffic should have it ready to go for Thursday, a spokesman said.

This weekend’s line up includes Widespread Panic, No Doubt, Galactic featuring Macy Gray, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Elton John, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lenny Kravitz, Buddy Guy and The Meters.
