New Orleans police reported two armed robberies and a carjacking between Saturday and early Sunday, including one incident in the French Quarter.

Around 11:18 p.m. Saturday, a 52-year-old man was in the 800 block of Dumaine Street when he was approached from behind by an armed man, the New Orleans Police Department said in a preliminary offense log. The suspect demanded the victim’s property and fled with his wallet, which contained cash, a cellphone, credit cards and a food stamp card, police said.

Earlier Saturday, a 43-year-old man was approached by four men in the 2000 block of Painters Street. One suspect produced a gun, while the others searched the victim’s pockets, police said. The suspects fled after taking cash from the victim.

The incident happened shortly before 10 a.m., police said.

Then, around 5:35 a.m. Sunday, a man told police that a man and woman robbed him of his vehicle near North Johnson Street and Elysian Fields Avenue, police said.

No other details were immediately available.

Police also reported four armed robberies and a burglary on Friday and Saturday.
