A jury took two hours Wednesday to find a Gretna man guilty of aggravated kidnapping and armed robbery at a Chalmette Walgreens drugstore in August, sealing his likely fate of life imprisonment.

Ben Amos, 28, was convicted of the crimes after a two-day trial. No one was injured, and only a cellphone was taken during the Walgreens holdup.

Amos’ alleged accomplices — Leonard Gibson, John Wilson and Quinita Harris — are in jail awaiting trial.
