WWL-TV is reporting State lawmakers vowed Tuesday to put the brakes on more taxpayer funding for the newly opened New Orleans Jazz Market in Central City in light of a federal investigation into the use of public library donations on the project.

The news comes at a time when the Jazz Orchestra and Mayfield are under scrutiny.

Details emerged that Mayfield may have put the money for the library system after Hurricane Katrina into his own pockets.

Federal subpoenas have been served related to the use of the library money for the Jazz Orchestra.

Emails from 2008 show Mayfield sought more New Orleans Public Library Money.
