Kenner police have arrested three people in the Monday night stabbing death of Kenneth Tassin III, booking one of them with second-degree murder.

Authorities say Tassin’s ex-girlfriend, Jonnisha Allen, 22, went to Tassin’s apartment in the 2800 block of Richland Street on Monday night with Ravon Miller, 29, and Miller’s girlfriend, Johneka Woods, 22.

There, Allen began slashing the tires and scratching the paint of the vehicle belonging to Tassin’s new girlfriend.

Tassin and his girlfriend came outside and began arguing with Allen, which escalated to a physical fight between Tassin and Miller and Tassin’s girlfriend and Allen.

During that fight, Miller allegedly stabbed Tassin five times, Kenner Police Department spokesman Lt. Brian McGregor said.

Miller, Allen and Woods then drove off in a white 2004 Chevrolet Suburban, with Allen having taken Tassin’s girlfriend’s cellphone.

Miller gave Woods the knife and told her to hide it, authorities said.

Kenner Police later stopped the car in the 2800 block of Loyola Drive. Officers found the knife under one of the car’s seats after obtaining a search warrant.

Miller, of 1621 Garden St. in Kenner, has been booked with second degree-murder.

Woods — of 8008 Karen St. in Metairie — and Allen, of 1652 Newport Place in Kenner, were each booked with being principals to second-degree murder.

Allen was also booked with theft valued at $600.00, simple criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace.
