A third teenager has been arrested in a string of nine armed robberies and one attempted armed robbery in Uptown New Orleans.

The 15-year-old, who has not been identified by police, was arrested Tuesday morning in the 2900 block of La Salle Street by the NOPD’s Violent Offenders Warrant Squad, who said they found a chrome revolver, cellphones, license plates and stolen property inside his home.

All three teens, according to police, will be booked for armed robbery in all of the cases. The victims included a couple held up at Dominican and Cherokee streets on Aug. 9, a woman hit over the head with a gun on Audubon Boulevard the night of Aug. 11, and a man and woman forced to hand over a purse, iPhone and car keys at St. Andrew and Prytania streets on Aug. 20.

Police previously arrested the other two teens as well as Larry Vail, 43, in connection with the incidents. Vail’s bail was set at $250,000, and he is being held in Orleans Parish Prison.

“We made a commitment to relentlessly pursue these individuals and bring them to justice, and today we delivered on that promise,” NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison said.

Police have not announced any arrests in the dramatic armed robbery that happened Aug. 20 inside the Uptown restaurant Patois. Officials said the next day that they had recovered a car containing some of the valuables stolen from patrons there.
