A witness to the scene who did not want to be identified said that two men who were killed were younger, likely in their 20s. The wounded man is in his mid-40s and had just pulled up to a store on Chef Menteur when shots sprayed the area, hitting him in the chest and the arm, the witness said.
In total, detectives were cataloguing roughly 70 casings from the scene, the witness said.
A shooting in New Orleans East late Friday night has left two men dead and another injured.
According to New Orleans police, the victims have not been identified. One man was located in the 8100 block of Chef Menteur, and the other in the 4300 block of Dodt Street, according to a police report just before 10 p.m.
The third victim's location has not been released. He has been transported to an area hospital, but no update on his status was immediately available.
