New Orleans police booked the allegedly intoxicated driver of a Porsche after they said he hit and seriously injured a woman who had just gotten off a Regional Transit Authority bus Wednesday morning.

Michael Clement, 35, was booked on counts of vehicular negligent injury and DWI after the 8:30 a.m. crash, which happened at Tulane and Loyola avenues.

Police said the victim, 48, was trying to cross the street when Clement’s Porsche struck her. She was taken to a hospital.
