A Metairie convenience store has had its state tobacco permit suspended after illegal drugs were found on site.

According to the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office found eight bags of napthoylindoles and 28 pills with amphetamine at United Food Store in the 3500 block of Airline Drive.

Saed Amireh, the owner's son, was arrested by JPSO for possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances.

ATC revoked the business' alcohol permit in September 2013.
