BLUE DOO RUN: The Tulane Cancer Center will host the NOLA Blue Doo Run, a 2-mile walk/run to support Tulane’s Prostate Cancer Research Fund, at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Tulane University.

Participants are encouraged to costume in blue — the color of prostate cancer awareness — for the event, which is being held in partnership with the New Orleans Track Club. HEALTH CARE COMPARISON SHOPPING: UnitedHealthcare’s free mobile app Health4Me is now available to all consumers. Health4Me gives all users access to an array of health care information, including the ability to review market average prices for more than 520 medical services.

For example, the total cost for an uncomplicated childbirth, including prenatal and postnatal care, at hospitals in the Louisiana area falls between $7,692 and $10,665.

Health4Me can help consumers locate nearby health care providers and convenience care, urgent care and emergency care facilities, and more easily anticipate and manage health care expenses based on local estimates.

Consumers can download for free the Health4Me app through the iPhone and Android app stores. More than 900,000 UnitedHealthcare plan participants have already downloaded the Health4Me app.
