First Bank and Trust in Central Business District robbed at gunpoint

The First Bank and Trust Tower was robbed Friday morning, New Orleans Police said.

Around 10:48 a.m. an unidentified perpetrator gave the cashier a note, and implied he was carrying a weapon, said New Orleans Police spokesman Ofc. Frank Robertson.

The cashier complied and perpetrator left with an undetermined amount of money, Robertson said.

Woman robbed in New Orleans East

A 67-year-old woman was robbed while walking in New Orleans East on Friday afternoon, New Orleans Police said.

The woman was walking along Dwyer Road and Viola Street around 1:30 p.m. Friday when she was approached by an unidentified juvenile male, said New Orleans Police spokesman Ofc. Frank Robertson.

When he demanded her purse she complied and he fled, Robertson said.

Woman robbed by three armed men in Marlyville Friday evening

A 31-year-old woman was robed by three armed men, one with a semi-automatic weapon on Friday evening, New Orleans Police said.

The woman was walking on the 4100 block of General Pershing Avenue around 7:47 p.m. on Friday when she was approached by the men who demanded her phone, car keys and purse, said New Orleans Police spokesman Ofc. Frank Robertson.

She complied and the men fled, Robertson said.

Woman robbed Friday night near Algiers Naval Station

A 62-year-old woman was robbed after a man pointed a gun to her face on Friday evening near the Algiers Naval Station, New Orleans Police said.

Around 7:50 p.m. on the 1700 block of Elizardi Boulevard a man approached the woman, putting a gun to her face and demanding her purse, said New Orleans Police spokesman Ofc. Frank Robertson.

She handed him her purse and the man fled.

68-year-old man robbed in St. Roch neighborhood

A 68-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint in the St. Roch neighborhood late Friday night, New Orleans Police said.

The man was getting out of his car parked on the 4500 block of N. Roman Street around 10 p.m. when two unidentified men, one armed with a semi-automatic handgun, approached him, said New Orleans Police spokesman Ofc. Frank Robertson.

The men took $100 out of the victim’s pockets and left, Robertson said.

Woman robbed in New Orleans East early Saturday morning

A 31-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint in New Orleans East early Saturday morning, New Orleans Police said.

The woman was approached by a man she recognized from her neighborhood around 12:23 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of St. Ann and N. Galvez streets, said New Orleans Police spokesman Ofc. Frank Robertson.

When the man pulled out his revolver and demanded money, she complied and he fled with $35.
