With the New Orleans municipal elections little more than a month away, civic and advocacy organizations have been hosting forums to give candidates the chance to sound off on key issues. 

More than 50 candidates have signed up for the mayoral, City Council and other races. 

Below is a running list of events they may attend.

Mayoral candidate forum, sponsored by the Louisiana Landmarks Society and Preservation Resource Center

Topics: housing costs and density, short-term rentals and the impact of tourism on neighborhoods, enforcement of the master plan and zoning law, preservation and its economic effect, transportation and infrastructure.
