Members of the McDonogh 35 High School Class of 1965 held a 50-year reunion recently at Dillard University. The Class of 1965 was the last to graduate from the school’s original building on South Rampart Street.
The reunion weekend began with a Friday night cocktail party and continued with a formal dinner-dance in the ballroom at Dillard University, with Ro Brown as guest speaker and classmate Sherman Saul as master of ceremonies. On Sunday, the classmates gained inspiration from the Rev. Cornelius Tilton at Irish Channel Christian Fellowship and then enjoyed a truly New Orleans brunch.
