Uber has teammed with the Louisiana Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for UberKITTENS day on Thursday.

Here is how it works. Uber users can request adoptable kittens from LA/SPCA locations for 15-minute sessions on their Uber app between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. through the kittens tab. Drivers will deliver the kittens from LA/SPCA locations to users who request them for 15-minute sessions. There will be a $30 "snuggle fee" for each session collected by Uber, which will support the LA/SPCA. A representative from the LA/SPCA will be available to discussion adoption procedures at each kitten session.

This is the first year of the UberKITTENS program in New Orleans. UberKITTENS started in 2013 with three cities and has grown to 50 cities participating in Thursday's program.
