Man arrested, accused of forcing young son to break into mother’s LaPlace house _lowres

A man has been arrested for forcing his young son to break into his mother’s house in the 500 block of Criswell Court in LaPlace on Monday.

Anthony Wilson, 30, allegedly made his son, 5, break into his mother’s house through a pushed-in air conditioning accordion spacer and then unlock the door for him, according to a news release from St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre.

Wilson and his wife Casey Ramsey, 27, who was also involved in the heist, then fled in a gold-colored car.

Police responded to a tripped burglar alarm around 2:49 p.m.

Police said the young boy confessed when questioned.

Wilson was booked on counts of simple burglary, simple criminal damage, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Ramsey was booked on counts of principal simple burglary, principal to simple criminal damage, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Bond hasn’t been set for either suspect.

The boy was put in the custody of a grandmother.
