Select Laboratory Software, which develops cloud-based medical laboratory software used in toxicology and clinical laboratories, is planning to expand to New Orleans and hire up to 25 people.

The North Carolina-based company said Monday it plans to hire five to 10 people by the end of the year. Its local operations will be headed by Louisiana native Ryan Williams.

New Orleans Business Alliance President and CEO Quentin Messer Jr. praised the company’s decision as a sign of “New Orleans’ increasing attractiveness for health care IT companies and bioinnovation entrepreneurs.”
