Mandeville-based Rowe Contracting Service Inc. has won a U.S. Department of Defense contract to provide janitorial services at the Pentagon.
“We’re honored to service the Department of Defense, at the Pentagon, and proud to have been awarded this contract,” said Scott E. Rowe, president of Rowe Contracting.
The contract validates the value of the company’s services, he added.
The company will be servicing one floor of the Pentagon, and about 75 employees will be doing the work, Rowe said. The company employs around 125 people at various sites around the country and in London.
Rowe describes itself as a building maintenance contractor for the federal government and commercial businesses requiring security clearnances. Most of the company’s federal work is done for the Department of Defense.
The company’s services include painting, plumbing; cleaning carpets, upholstery, window blinds and construction sites; pest control, janitorial services, and parking lot maintenance and repair.
