Propeller, a business incubator that focuses on ventures planning to tackle pressing issues facing New Orleans, will receive a $125,000 grant to help it support ventures with the potential to address urban water issues.

The money was awarded as part of JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Small Business Forward initiative, a five-year, $30 million push to promote businesses across the country that will either create and preserve jobs in low-income communities and for vulnerable populations.

“This investment in Propeller will have a meaningful impact on our region’s environment and will strengthen our local economy,” said John Kallenborn, head of Chase commercial banking in Louisiana.
