Have Spirit, will travel.
Low-cost Spirit Airlines has announced four new routes, including daily non-stop trips from New Orleans to Boston, Massachusets; Newark, New Jersey; and Tampa, Florida, according to a release.
The airline is also adding four-day-a-week service to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The new routes will begin on Nov. 9, according to the release.
"As Spirit adds more new aircraft to its growing Fit Fleet, we are committed to offering new service to the places our customers want to fly, like New Orleans, Las Vegas, and West Palm Beach," said Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines' Vice President of Network Planning in the release. "Making air travel easier and more affordable to great destinations is what Spirit is all about."
Tickets for the new routes can be purchased immediately.
Spirit becomes the second airline to add service to the Boston area, with Delta recently announcing it would be adding seasonal service to Logan International Airport beginning in 2017.
