The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission has named Lacey G. Bordelon as its deputy director.

Bordelon joined JEDCO in 2007 as an economic development specialist before being promoted to director of economic development services.

In her new role, Bordelon will direct JEDCO’s business retention and expansion program and be responsible for business attraction efforts. She also will oversee the continued development and growth of the Churchill Technology and Business Park, as well as the organization’s strategic planning initiatives.

“Lacey has played a vital role in the success of this organization for years,” said Jerry Bologna, JEDCO’s executive director. “Lacey’s vast experience in managing a variety of economic development projects and her intense focus to detail make her a perfect fit for this role.”

Bordelon received her master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of New Orleans.

“I look forward to furthering JEDCO’s objectives, realizing the successful development of Churchill Technology and Business Park and ultimately, serving the needs of the Jefferson Parish business community,” Bordelon said.
