The University of New Orleans and Latter & Blum are slated to present their annual economic outlook and real estate forecast seminar Friday at the school’s Lakefront campus.

The seminar, which brings together business and civic leaders, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Sen. Ted Hickey Ballroom of the University Center.

Registration starts at 8 a.m., followed by opening remarks from UNO President John Nicklow and John Williams, dean of UNO’s College of Business Administration.

The New Orleans regional economy will be the focus of the first panel. Quentin Messer Jr., of the New Orleans Business Alliance, will discuss the metro area’s economy, and Linda Prudhomme, of the Port of South Louisiana, will discuss the River Region. Williams also will discuss the economic impact of the city’s latest hotel developments.

Two additional panels will address trends and outlooks of the local real estate market.

Advance registration is $40. The cost is $45 at the door. The event is free to UNO faculty, staff and students, who also must register.
