New Orleans-based regional charter operator GLO has decided against offering seasonal nonstop service from New Orleans to Florida’s Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.

GLO announced in February that it would offer one round-trip flight from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport to the Emerald Coast on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The flights were slated to run from late March to Sept. 5, with one-way introductory fares starting at $119, including taxes.

Instead, weak initial demand prompted GLO to suspend the sales, and the route will be re-evaluated in the future, GLO spokesman Ryan Evans said Monday.

After launching late in 2015, GLO has offered nonstop service from New Orleans to Shreveport; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Memphis, Tennessee. The company also offers nonstop service from Little Rock to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.
