A job fair will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Amelia Community Center on Duhon Boulevard in Amelia to help fill 50 positions at Danos’ new Amelia-based fabrication facility this fall.

The job fair is sponsored by the Louisiana Workforce Commission and the state’s job training program.

Positions being filled include welders, fitters, maintenance, equipment operators, supervisors, accounting, project managers and project coordinators. Candidates must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma, a GED certification or equivalent. A two-year vocational/technical degree is a plus. A minimum of two years prior fabrication experience is required. Résumés will be accepted and applicants will complete a job interest questionnaire at the job fair.

Danos plans to hire about 100 additional employees during the facility’s first 12 to 18 months of operation.
