A Belle Rose man was arrested Tuesday after officers with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Division and SWAT team found heroin and three guns at his home, Sheriff Mike Waguespack said.

Dontrell Landry, 31, of 276 La. 998, Belle Rose, who was home at the time of the search, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of heroin, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, Waguespack said in a news release.

Bail has not yet been set.

Landry is on parole from Ascension Parish and a hold has been placed on his release, according to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office report.
